An FY 2027 appropriation was requested to begin the planning and construction for existing holding schools. This project would provide upgrades like restroom renovations, roof/HVAC replacements, and modular buildings at our multiple holding schools. These facilities are long overdue for building component upgrades. MCPS intends to increase the amount of holding schools in a future CIP, which these funds will be used to upgrade/build.
