This project is needed to construct a missing segment of sidewalk along the north side of Franklin Ave. Continuous and safe pedestrian access will be provided to existing sidewalks and bikeways, transit stops, churches, schools and public facilities in the Silver Spring area. This project conforms to the East Silver Spring Master Plan.
