Montgomery County, Maryland (the “County”) is seeking secure and reliable colocation space, electrical power and the ability to cross-connect to two (2) or more Tier 1 Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in a Tier 4 Data Center located in Montgomery County, Maryland. The Tier 4 Data Center must be physically located within the geographic boundaries of Montgomery County, MD and must be connected to the County’s fiber optic network (known as “FiberNet”) and must meet the Tier 4 Data Center criteria as developed by the Uptime Institute and described on this webpage: Uptime Institute Tier Classification System - Uptime Institute, This website may be updated from time to time and the resulting Contractor must continue to maintain Tier 4 Data Center status at all times while providing services under the resulting contract.
The County intends to award one (1) Contract as a result of this Solicitation to one (1) Tier 4 Data Center located in Montgomery County, Maryland.
The County intends to have the ability to expand the services, within the general scope of this solicitation under the contract resulting from this Solicitation to meet its on-going requirements. The County makes no guarantee of any minimum service need.
