The County intends to enter into up to ten contracts with appraisers qualified to estimate the values of real property, including land and/or improvements in accordance with the State of Maryland appraisal standards, as well as in accordance with Local, State and Federal guidelines.

The County’s goal is to provide the necessary property appraisals to the County’s Property Acquisition Section (PAS), Division of Transportation Engineering, to provide PAS with an estimate of the fair market value of the property interests being acquired and to form the basis for the just compensation due to the property owner for the acquisition. Appraisals must be completed within the specified time as stated on the Sample Order for Fee Appraisal documentation, see Attachment D for sample.
