Ride On revenue collection is performed twice monthly on the first and third Mondays of the month.
Note: if the scheduled Monday falls on a County holiday or, if the weather is too inclement to perform the pickups as scheduled; pickup will occur on the next available day as the opportunity presents itself.
In every case of reschedule, coordination must occur between Contractor/Armed Guard Provider and Montgomery County Division of Transit.
They will be transportation of bins within and between the following locations/vaults:
• Gaithersburg Depot – 16700 Crabbs Branch Way, Derwood, Maryland
o Vault 101
o Vault 102
• Nicholson Court Depot – 4925 Nicholson Court, Kensington, Maryland
o Vault 105
• Silver Spring Depot – 8710 Brookville Road, Building J, Silver Spring, Maryland
o Vault 103
o Vault 104
• Counting Room – 8710 Brookville Road, Building H, Silver Spring, Maryland
Collection is performed as a repeatable rotation as prescribed below (as there are more bins (7) and vaults (5) than can be serviced in a single run). A single day pickup from all depots (as prescribed) is considered a “Route.”
The pickup begins at Gaithersburg depot between 5:30 – 6:00 am. The pickup team will be met by a Transit IT supervisor. The goal is to complete the route by 8:00 am.
