Scope

The County intends to enter a contract with one qualified Contractor that must provide pick up of radioactive waste from the County’s Transfer Station in Derwood on an as-needed basis, and must dispose of it at an approved radioactive hazardous waste disposal facility. The waste to be disposed of is identified at the Shady Grove Transfer Station or Material Recovery facility as it passes through the radiation detectors and has a half-life of greater than 75 days.

An example of the contract the County expects to issue is provided as Attachment E.

The specific budget will not be released for this Contract.

The Scope of Work is similar to previous contracts; however, we will not release the incumbents who previously provided these services
