Scope

The County intends to enter a contract with one qualified Contractor that must provide pick up of compressed gas cylinders from the County’s Transfer Station in Derwood on a regular basis, and must recycle them at a facility approved by the County.   
A sample of the contract the County expects to issue is provided as Attachment E.
The Contractor must pick up and recycle compressed gas cylinders.  See Attachment D, Quote Sheet, for costs/requirements. 
The Contractor must provide the necessary equipment and qualified personnel to provide compressed gas cylinder collection and processing.

The Contractor must accept the following: 
a. Acetylene;
b. Carbon dioxide;
c. Fire extinguishers (all sizes);
d. Helium;
e. Propane cylinders smaller than twenty pounds, full or empty, refillable or nonrefillable;
f. Propane cylinders twenty pounds, full or empty, refillable or nonrefillable;
g. Propane cylinders greater than twenty pounds and less than 100 pounds, full or empty, refillable or nonrefillable;
h. Propane cylinders equal to or larger than 100 pounds, full or empty, refillable or nonrefillable;
i. Other gas cylinders, all sizes, includes nonrefillable refrigerant;
j. Oxygen cylinders, all sizes;
k. Scavenger tank for refrigerant.
