Scope

Background and Intent
 Montgomery County, MD (Government) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to manufacture new and/or refurbish existing fire/rescue/EMS and related vehicles.
 There will be multiple awards made as a result of the RFP so that the MCFRS has a robust selection of Contractors to provide the required goods and services.
 Task Orders issued under the contract(s) resulting from this solicitation will provide for the manufacture and/or refurbishment of various types and quantities of fire/rescue apparatus.

 Scope of Services/Specifications/Work Statement
 The Contractor shall furnish all necessary supervision, labor, tools, parts (and materials), equipment and location required to manufacture and/or refurbish fire/rescue/EMS and related vehicles as well as perform warranty-related inspections, maintenance, repairs and testing of MCFRS fire/rescue/EMS and related vehicles. All services and vehicles manufactured and/or refurbished by the contractor shall meet the current National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 1901, Standard for Automotive Fire Apparatus, and all warranty repairs performed by the Contractor shall meet the current NFPA Standard 1911, Standard for the Inspection, Maintenance, Testing, and Retirement of In-Service Automotive Fire Apparatus. In addition, all services provided by the Contractor shall be consistent with industry best practices, and meet all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
