Residential Refuse, Recyclable Materials, Yard Trim, and Scrap Metal/e-Waste Collection Services in Service Area 6

Chapter 48, Section 48-29(b) of the Montgomery County Code provides that only the County or its contract agent may collect solid waste from any single-family dwelling unit within the solid waste collection and disposal district. Executive Regulation 47-93 creates subdistricts within the solid waste collection and disposal district and prescribes procedures and requirements for authorizing independent contractor collection of solid waste.

It is the intent of Montgomery County, Maryland (hereinunder referred to as the “County”) to contract with a qualified Offeror (hereinafter referred to as the “Contractor”) to collect and transport refuse, recyclable materials, yard trim, scrap metal, e-waste and certain bulk waste, as defined in the attached Exclusive Residential Collection Service Agreement in Service Area 6 (hereinafter referred to as the “Contract”).
