Child Safety Seat Inspection Station Appointment Scheduler

Welcome to the Car Seat Program’s online appointment system. This FREE service is provided and managed by Montgomery County’s Fire and Rescue Service in partnership with Safe Kids Montgomery County. Our in-person car seat appointments will be held during the following times:

  1. Takoma Park (Fire Station 2 located at 7201 Carroll Avenue)
    1. 2nd and 4th Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
      2. Car Seats Events at Fire Station 2 will be suspended from October through December 2024 due to renovations of community room.
  2. Germantown (Fire Station 34 located at 20633 Boland Farm Road)
    1. 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from 8 am to noon
    2. 1st Wednesday of the month from 8 am to noon
  3. Aspen Hill (Fire Station 25 located at 14401 Connecticut Avenue)
    1. Thursday mornings from 8 am to noon
    2. 1st Saturday of the month from 8 am to noon
  4. Fitzgerald Auto Mall (various locations throughout Maryland)

  5. Bethesda (Fire Station 6 located at 6600 Wisconsin Ave)
    1. 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
      2. Car Seat Events will be held every Thursday evening from October through December 2024 due to renovations of community room at Fire Station 2 in Takoma Park.

During the in-person appointment, our team of certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will teach you how to install and use your car seat correctly. Appointments take approximately 30 minutes per car seat.

To schedule an appointment, first enter the number of car seats that will be inspected/installed. This includes all car seats that are currently in the car or will be in the car at the time of the appointment. You MUST make an appointment for each car seat (i.e., two cars seats require two appointments).
