Montgomery County, Maryland’s Department of Technology and
Enterprise Business Solutions (TEBS) is responsible for the technology systems throughout the County. The Radio Communications Services (RCS) section is responsible for the infrastructure, radios, and ancillary equipment necessary for the Public Safety radio communications operations. RCS must ensure that all radio communications infrastructure, radios, and ancillary equipment functions within operating specifications. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that measuring and diagnostic equipment utilized to maintain the Radio System operating specifications is
accurate. As measuring and diagnostic equipment is handled repeatedly, along with transported in Technician vehicles in all weather conditions, the effectiveness of the calibrations of the equipment may get altered. These alterations can affect the accuracy of radio frequencies or other operational functions of the radio equipment, which can then make radios not function correctly. Without properly operating radios, Public Safety personnel are
in danger in the performance of their duties.

The County is seeking a Contractor to provide scheduled calibration to the County’s radio communications measuring and diagnostic equipment.
