The Office of the County Council is seeking a contractor to provide support to a Councilmember's office. This is a position supporting the work of the Councilmember and his staff in two distinct areas: the contractor selected must be fluent on all social media platforms and must be adept at using social media to promote the work and initiatives of the Councilmember; and the contractor is to continue the work which has begun regarding Post-COVID economic development and recovery.
Excellent writing and communication skills are required. Competency and familiarity on all social media platforms are necessary. Candidate must have flexible availability. Some evenings/weekends will be required.
Minimum qualification is five years of relevant experience.
Previous work for an elected official and work centered around economic development and related policy work are preferred, as is prior experience with economic development entities in the County.
The maximum annual compensation payable by the County for all goods and services provided under the resulting Contract must not exceed $15,000. It is anticipated that the work would average 15-25 hours per week at certain times and fewer hours at other times, depending on the needs of the Council, and would begin on the signing of an agreement by the Director of Procurement.
