Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services’ (DHHS) vision is to transform the County’s safety-net dental system for the uninsured and underinsured populations served, into an innovative oral health value-based care model with integrated medical and dental population health care at its core.
Montgomery County’s DHHS seeks to partner with public and private dental clinics throughout Montgomery and neighboring counties to expand access to dental care for the Dental Program’s eligible children and adults.
The County’s DHHS wishes to identify a Contractor to provide consulting services focused on designing and developing a multi-year strategy that culminates in a narrative report. The report will describe how to transform Montgomery County’s safety-net dental system into an oral health value-based care system that enhances safety-net dental services for Montgomery County residents, by strengthening collaboration and efficiency among safety-net dental providers and developing processes and referral protocols to ensure information sharing to promote coordination of care between medical and oral health safety-net providers.
