The County has a long-standing commitment to a community and school-based, regionally distributed continuum of integrated health and human services.  This model of service delivery maximizes the participation of communities in planning and implementing services.  It also places a priority on fostering collaborative relationships between the County and private entities in identified service areas.  The current community-based services include multiple High School Based Wellness Centers, the Linkages to Learning Program, elementary School-based Health Centers, and the gang-prevention focused Youth Opportunity Centers.  In addition to these efforts, the Montgomery County Positive Youth Development Initiative has attempted to address the rise of youth and families experiencing complex trauma in the County, and the Montgomery County Public Schools Mental Health Task Force examined ways to address student mental health needs comprehensively within the school system.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to contract with either one or two different Contractors. This solicitation is for the operation of the Gaithersburg High School Based Wellness Center or the Watkins Mill High School Based Wellness Center or for both.

There will be two optional site visits: Gaithersburg High School Wellness Center: Wednesday, February 21, 2018   from 10:00AM to 10:45AM and Watkins Mill High Scholl Wellness Center: February 22, 2018 from 10:00AM to 10:45AM.
