The project is located along Snouffer School Road from Centerway Road to Ridge Heights Drive, in Gaithersburg, Montgomery County, Maryland. The project includes widening between Centerway Road and Alliston Hollow Way, resurfacing from Alliston Hollow Way and Ridge Heights Drive, and replacement of the existing bridge structure over Cabin Branch.

The work to be done under this contract will consist of, but not be limited to the following:

1. Construct 1,300± linear feet of closed roadway widening, consisting of two 12-foot lanes each direction, with concrete curb and gutters, paved with hot mix asphalt. Existing roadway will be milled and resurfaced.
2. Construct new raised median between existing roadway and new roadway section.
3. Construct new bridge structure over Cabin Branch for northbound lanes, and replace existing structure for southbound lanes.
4. Install Storm drain pipe, inlets and structures along the new road.
5. Perform Stream Restoration work for Cabin Branch, Side Channel, Tributary 69 Channel 1 and Tributary 69 Channel 2.
6. Install sidewalk and shared use path along corridor.
7. Construct a Storm Water Bio-Swale adjacent to the roadway.
8. Provide traffic control along Snouffer School Road corridor, construction of new bridge over Cabin Branch.
9. Install and maintain Erosion and Sediment Control features on the project as shown on the plans.
10. Provide and plant landscaping items as called for by the contract plans.
11. Install about 2500 feet of 16" DIP water line and appurtenances.
12. Restripe existing roadway to new configuration.
