DELAYED OPENING WITH LIBERAL LEAVE

Montgomery County Government offices and departments will OPEN at 10:00AM on Thursday, December 17, 2020 with optional LIBERAL LEAVE for nonessential employees available through midnight. • Employees who are designated as essential employees are required to report to work as normal during the December 17th Delayed Opening and Liberal Leave. • Essential employees who have been working remotely (situational or regular telework) are expected to continue to work remotely during the December 17th Delayed Opening and Liberal Leave. • Department Directors may designate a nonessential employee to be an essential employee based on their role in responding to the ongoing health crisis. • Nonessential employees must notify their supervisors of their intent to use appropriate leave without prior supervisory approval. • Nonessential employees who have been working remotely (situational or regular telework) are expected to work, take leave, or a combination of both. Telework-approved employees not scheduled to telework may request unscheduled telework from their supervisor for all or, in combination with leave, part of the workday.
